ANNUAL SHOW

The annual Show is a major effort for our Chorus and Quartets to perform for the public in
a show setting with lively and varied family entertainment. Featured Quartets from the Chorus
and District are also a big hit on these shows.

The past 2 years our Chorus has performed an exciting show in the Jon Hassler Theater
in Plainview which is normally held on the 2 nd Saturday in November each year.

CONTESTS

The chorus participates in the Society’s chorus contests held each Spring and Fall. In a
contest we sing a two-song package for a panel of Judges. Three categories are judged in
these contests: Music, Singing and Presentation.

In March of 2006 and again in 2007 we won the First Place in our Chorus Plateau size in the
Southwest Division, and also for being the “Most Improved Chorus” from the previous year.
Our score in those contests entitled us to participate in the Land O’Lakes District Chorus
contest held each year in October with the District Convention.

The Rochester Chorus has hosted the District Fall Convention and Contests on several
occasions at Mayo Civic Auditorium and will again host it in 2009.
