ROCHESTER MUSIC MEN SING AT THE NATIONAL EAGLE CENTER

In July, 2009 the Rochester Music Men Barbershop Chorus and wives
had an outing which included a visit to the National Eagle Center in
Wabasha, MN. Wabasha is located on the shores of the Mississippi River
that are next to vast acres of river bottom land which has open water all
year thereby supplying access to fish(food for the Eagles). Thousands
of Eagles migrate from the north to this area every year. While the Chorus
was there they sang a few songs. As a result of this exposure, the
Chorus was hired to do two performances at the Eagle Center’s
“Migration Celebration” on November 7, 2009. They sang “America”
as the last song in each presentation and were joined by resident
eagle “Columbia” who beautifully spread her wings during the tag. The
chorus was thrilled and proud to have such a distinguished guest
join them in song.
